Soon after the CLTD was established, it undertook the task of producing a Guide du praticien<\/i>, an essential tool for practising and teaching law in Ontario. Hundreds of forms and precedents were translated, the result being an important text published in 1982 and 1983 that then served as the model for handbooks in New Brunswick and Manitoba. The Guide<\/i> consists of collections of precedents that have enabled many lawyers to draft and present legal documents in French for the first time. The success of this text led to the CLTD producing French versions of the procedural documents provided in Williston and Rolls Court Forms<\/i>, in a substantial publication that was intended to provide French-speaking lawyers and future lawyers in Ontario with precedents and procedural forms that are equal in quality to the documents available to the English-speaking bar. The first version was published in 1991, and two major updates were released in 1995 and 2003.<\/p>\n
